Leadership Update from Stockton Democrats Together

We’re writing to share an important update about our leadership team.

President Lilliana Udang has stepped down from her role, effective immediately. We want to express our sincere gratitude to Lily for her service and leadership of the Club. Her contributions to our organization have been meaningful, and we wish her well.

In accordance with the Club’s bylaws, Vice President Allyson Aranda has assumed the responsibilities of the President. This transition is automatic under our governing documents and ensures the organization’s leadership continuity. Allyson’s move to the presidency creates a vacancy in the Vice President position, which will be filled by a vote of the membership at our next regularly scheduled general membership meeting.

To participate in the VP election, members must be in good standing — meaning they have paid their annual dues and are registered Democrats. All members in good standing are eligible to be nominated and to vote. Details on the April meeting date and agenda will be shared at least five days in advance, per our bylaws.

Our Executive Board — including Treasurer David Sengthay and Secretary Colleen Keenan — remains fully committed to the Club’s mission of supporting Democratic candidates and causes in the greater Stockton area. With the June primaries approaching and a general election cycle ahead, there is critical work to be done, and we are positioned to do it.

We encourage all members to attend the next membership meeting to participate in the VP election and to help shape our plans for the months ahead. If you know anyone who’s been thinking about getting involved in local Democratic organizing, please invite them. New members and new energy are always welcome.

Thank you for your continued commitment to Stockton Democrats Together.

Signed,
Stockton Democrats Together E-Board
Allyson Aranda, President
David Sengthay, Treasurer
Colleen Keenan, Secretary
